(hereinafter called “the Inviter”) on behalf of the government of Chengdu Municipality. The Inviter has appointed Three Gorges International Tendering Co.， Ltd. (hereinafter called “the Agent”) to call publicly for technical proposals for sludge disposal for the first stage of Chengdu No. 1 Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant (hereinafter called “the Project”). Tentative applicants worldwide are invited to sign up for pre-qualification. 1.Project Summary The Project is located in Longquan District on the eastern suburb of Chengdu， with its sole purpose being disposal of the sludge produced by the sewage treatment plants in the urban city of Chengdu. Currently Chengdu has 5 sewage treatment plants in operation， with a treatment capacity of 94×104m3/d. Another 4 new plants， with a capacity of 40×104m3/d， will be put into operation shortly. When all the 9 plants are in normal operation， the total treatment capacity will reach 134×104m3/d， and the amount of sludge produced by these plants is expected to reach 1000 t/d (with 20% of solid content). The designed capacity for the first stage of the Project is 600 t/d (with 20% of solid content). The sludge is to be landfilled after being dried. The construction period is 18 months. 2.Scope Definition The Inviter calls for technical proposals for drying treatment of sludge. 3.Source of Funds The funds will be raised by the Inviter. 4.Method of Invitation The solutions are invited publicly. 5.Qualification of Applicants Applicants shall have mature sludge disposal technology and engineering experience in similar projects. 6.Acquiring Pre-qualification Documents Interested applicants should first fax their names and contact information to the fax number of the Agent as given below to sign up， and then acquire the pre-qualification documents in either of the following approaches from May 12， 2008： (1) In-situ acquirement： Obtain the documents at the address of the Agent 9：00-12：00 and 14：00-17：00 daily (except weekends and holidays)； (2)E-mail acquirement： If applicants wish to receive the documents by e-mail， they should state this when signing up and provide their e-mails addresses. 7.
